The alliance is working forging partnerships with key industry bodies and players from platforms, manufacturers, operators, government agencies to ensure that as an alliance we cover the entire mobile ecosystem. Once the partnerships are in place, we will explore R&D, business and product development opportunities.

Mobile Alliance is also funded by membership fees, sponsorships as well as events.

Yes, companies who are industry competitors can also join

There are three levels of membership (Ordinary, Associate and Individual) for companies and individuals that are in the function as Developer / Manufacturer or Media.

Ordinary Member: Are allowed to raise an agenda during AGM or EGM and have voting rights for the agenda.

Associate Member: Are allowed to raise an agenda during AGM or EGM. However they will not have any voting rights for the agenda whatsoever.

Individual Member: Students, Academia

The Mobile Alliance was formed in June 2009 in Singapore. It was formed to jointly explore opportunities in the mobile industry

The Mobile Alliance is a group of industry leading mobile software companies that have come together to establish a platform to further common industry interests.

The role of the Singapore Mobile Alliance is to provide an umbrella platform that will support the growth of the mobile software and application industry in Singapore and raise the overall profile and branding of Singapore as an innovative and world-class Mobile Centre of Excellence. It will work with existing platforms to coordinate strategic initiatives that will benefit the sector as a whole and address gaps in the current eco-system. This collaborative approach will generate greater synergies within the eco-system and contribute more effectively to the members of the Mobile VAS community.

The Mobile Alliance will be an industry-led initiative aiming is to provide its members with a platform to more effectively brand themselves in the international marketplace, engage pro-actively in innovative R&D, invest in training and collaborate by sharing resources and competencies.
