Dr Soon Thor Lim (Ken)
Dr. Soon Thor Lim graduated with a Ph.d from the University of Surrey under the Agilent Technologies, Singapore Scholarship in 2005 and a First Class Honors in electronic and electrical Engineering in 2001. He has more than 12 years experiences in photonics related research. and is currently holding the position of programme manager and scientist with the Institute of High Performance Computing, Agency for Science, Technology and Research in Singapore. He has contributed greatly to the understanding of silicon nano-photonics and involved strongly in knowledge transfer to industry. He has won numerous awards, including most recently, the IET Innovation Award 2011 - Software and Design Category (Highly Commended) in the United Kingdom for his work in modeling and simulation of high speed optical devices. He holds several patents and published over numerous scientific journal and conferences.
A veteran at Microsoft having worked there for about 14 years, Barrie has an incredible knowledge of technology along with analytical and strategic capability to turn his insights into actions which move the business forwards. He is a high performer with over 12 years of industry experience specializing in cloud and consumer marketing. Passionate about technology and brand marketing, proven track record of delivering results. Terence has substantial experience in the Online Internet Space. He is conversant with online space services development in Music, Navigation, Gaming, Email, and Imaging. His experience includes bringing these services into the Mobile Telecommunications industry with major manfucturers. He is particularly interested in internet software and services on mobile devices and bringing new consumer experiences to life. His past work experience has been with Nokia as their head of services and solutions, sales and marketing manager at Acivate Group and marketing manager at Navtaq. Educationally, Terence holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Studies, Marketing and Hospitality.
Deny is experienced in all aspects of Information Technology Management over 20 years, with 19 years in management with MNCs such as Nokia, Lear Automotive and recently with Microsoft and Polycom Asia Pacific. He is currently working for Pacnet as its Global CIO based in Singapore. He provided leadership around IT strategies, operations, service management and project management with ultimate goal to achieve business strategies. Well covered many aspects of IT including managing few full cycle ERP/CRM/BI (using SAP R/3) implementations with significant experiences in LAN/WAN infrastructure, technical support and web services related projects. He possesses unique business driven IT management knowledge, is result and team oriented, a self-motivated, team player, with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
Tahira Sultan is an innovator and entreprenuer coupled with sound business and corporate experience totalling 18 years. She co-founded of MicroUsability, a 10 year old UX Consulting company servicing major players, TASA Global a mobile app innovation company, and Bugira in the SAAS space. . Previously, she served in technology consulting and business development for Digital Equipment and Seagate Technologies. She was also the Founder of the Usability Professionals Association, Singapore Chapter. Recently, she was on the Judging Panel of the AppVenture (Mobile App Competition) organized by iDA. She was also the Chair of the Mobile VAS and M2M Stream at the Internet & Mobile Show 2013. Educationally, She holds an MBA (Melb) and Bachelors double major in Mathematics and Computer Science (high distinction).
